Hidden in the Day of the Lord's Anger

(1) Gather yourselves together, yes, gather together,
O undesirable nation,
(2) Before the decree is issued,
Or the day passes like chaff,
Before the LORD's fierce anger comes upon you,
Before the day of the LORD's anger comes upon you!

(3) Seek the LORD, all you meek of the earth,
Who have upheld His justice.
Seek righteousness, seek humility.

It may be that you will be hidden
In the day of the LORD's anger.

Zephaniah 2:1-3

*
Encourage the exhausted,
and strengthen the feeble.
Say to those with palpitating heart,
Take Courage, Fear Not,
Behold, your God will come with vengeance:
The recompesnse of God will come,
But He will save you.

Isaiah 35:3,4

*
And the ransomed of the LORD will return,
And come with joyful shouting to Zion,
with everlasting joy upon their heads
They will find gladness and joy,
And sorrow and sighing will flee away.

Isaih 35:10

*
Go, my people, enter your rooms
and close the doors behind you.
Hide for a little while until the wrath has passed.
For look, the LORD is coming from His place
to punish the inhabitants of the earth
for their inquity.

Isaiah 26:20-21a

*
God is our refuge and strength,
A very present help in trouble,
Therefore, we will not fear,
Though the earth should change,
and
Though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea;
Though its waters roar and foam,
Though the mountains quake at its swelling pride.

Psalms 46:1-3

*
Therefore, prepare your minds for action,
keep a clear head,
and set your hope completely on the grace
to be given you when Jesus, the Messiah, is revealed.

1 Peter 1:13

*
Be patient therefore brethren
until the coming of the Lord
.... You too be patient:
strengthen your hearts,
for the coming of the Lord is at hand.

James 5:7a,8

"Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.
And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works,
not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some,
but exhorting one another,
and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
Hebrews 10:23-25
