When is the marriage supper of the Lamb of God?
Before or after His physical return to earth?
You may have heard that the marriage feast of the Lamb
( Jesus )
and His Bride ( the Church ),
it to occur in heaven
during the 7 year tribulation period.
This assumes the Rapture of the Church
occurs at the beginning of the tribulation period.
But as I've shared in previous videos,
there is no secret Rapture
at the beginning of the Tribulation period.
And that the Tribulation period will last only 3 1/2 years
Not the 7 years
as many have been told.
Today I'd like to concentrate on the popular teachings
about the "marriage feast".
Revelation chapter 19 is where you find this event referenced.
I would challenge you to read the WHOLE chapter,
and notice the "timing" of the event.
First off
we see that it is to occur
after the great Harlot,
also called Bablyon is destroyed.
Read chapter 19 verses 1 - 5.
Followed by Revelation 19 verse 6,
Where we learn God is now in control.
The 42 months of authority the Beast had,
seems to have come to an end at this point.
We read,
And I heard, as it were,
the voice of a great multitude,
as the sound of many waters
and as the sound of mighty thunderings,
saying, “Hallelujah!
For the Lord our God, the Almighty, reigns.
Then in Verses 7 - 9
we find the reference to the marriage feast,
Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory,
for the marriage of the Lamb has come,
and His wife has made herself ready.”
And to her it was granted to be arrayed
And to her it was granted to be arrayed
in fine linen, clean and bright,
for the fine linen is
the righteous acts of the saints.
Then he said to me, “Write:
‘Blessed are those who are called
to the marriage supper of the Lamb!’ ”
When are they called?
Who exactly is the multitude?
And where are they
when they are speaking?
There is no scripture that says this is to occur in heaven,
or prior to the physical return of Jesus Christ.
Only that the time has come for this marriage to take place.
The next thing we are told
is what happens next.
Jesus begins to reign here on Earth.
His physical and visible return.
The rest of chapter 19 verses 11 - 21,
Starting with verse 11 which says,
Now I saw heaven opened,
and behold, a white horse.
And He who sat on him
And He who sat on him
was called Faithful and True,
and in righteousness
and in righteousness
He judges and makes war.
I think you should be able to see the connection with this passage,
and what Jesus foretold in
Matthew 24 verses 29-31.
Which says:
“Immediately after the tribulation of those days
the sun will be darkened,
and the moon will not give its light;
the stars will fall from heaven,
and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
Then the sign of the Son of Man
will appear in heaven,
and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn,
and they will see the Son of Man coming
on the clouds of heaven
with power and great glory.
And He will send His angels
with a great sound of a trumpet,
and they will gather together His elect
from the four winds,
from one end of heaven to the other.
and Matthew 25:31-34
“When the Son of Man comes in His glory,
and all the holy angels with Him,
then He will sit on the throne of His glory.
All the nations will be gathered before Him,
and He will separate them
one from another,
as a shepherd divides
his sheep from the goats.
And He will set the sheep on His right hand,
but the goats on the left.
Then the King will say
to those on His right hand,
‘Come, you blessed of My Father,
inherit the kingdom prepared for you
from the foundation of the world:
Paul tells us
in Colossians 3:4
When Christ who is our life appears,
then you also will appear with Him in glory.
AND in 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10
we read
and to give you who are troubled
rest with us when the Lord Jesus is
revealed from heaven
with His mighty angels,
in flaming fire
taking vengeance on those
who do not know God,
and on those who
do not obey the gospel
of our Lord Jesus Christ.
These shall be punished
with everlasting destruction
from the presence of the Lord
and from the glory of His power,
when He comes,
in that Day,
to be glorified in His saints
and to be admired among
all those who believe,
because our testimony
among you was believed.
Most other theories about this wedding feast
rely heavily on Jewish wedding traditions.
There is no scripture to support this.
Many assumptions are made
While trying to draw parallels between
the traditional wedding,
and God's future plans.
I will just add the words of Jesus to support my view,
that the timing of the marriage supper is most likely
at the beginning of the millennial reign of Jesus Christ.
After His return to both resurrect and transform believers,
and to destroy the forces
that had aligned with the Beast against Him
at the time of His return to Jerusalem.
Jesus states:
In Matthew 26:29
But I say unto you,
I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine,
until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.
and in Luke 22:18
For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine,
until the kingdom of God shall come.
The Kingdom on earth must come first.
Before any marriage supper
or feast is to be celebrated.

"Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.
"Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.
And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works,
not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some,
but exhorting one another,
and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
