Knowing that 99942 Apophis ( 2004 MN4 ) is set to arrive ( or flyby ) after sundown on Friday, April 13th, 2029 ( 2 weeks after Passover ),
it "dawned on me" this morning that 2018 is a Mirror Year ( same dates on Calendar, including Passover ) as 2029.
The diameter of Apophis is, as of the most recent 2014 observations, approximately 370 metres (1,210 ft).[2]
On April 13, 2029, Apophis will pass Earth within the orbits of geosynchronous communication satellites, but will come no closer than 19,400 miles (31,200 km) above Earth's surface.[11]
The 2029 pass will be much closer than had first been predicted.
